“The Governmental Relations Division’s mission is to provide Chamber members with access to local and state government officials, to promote understanding of current legislative issues particularly in an election year, and to provide the business community an opportunity for input on these issues.”

• Provide information on legislative issues affecting Fort Bend businesses.

• Create informed voices for Fort Bend County business leaders through research and study by sub-committees of legislative issues of importance and concern.

• Conduct candidate forums for local or county-wide elections.

• Serve as a forum for locally elected officials to provide updates to business leaders.
