Leadership Forum Lays a Wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

The Fort Bend Leadership Forum, Class of 2017 was in Washington D.C., Wednesday, May 3-5, 2017 for the National Government Session. The class participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington Cemetery to honor those who lost their lives in World War 1, World War 2, and the Korean War. The wreath was presented by veterans in the class, Jonathan Chapman, Keith Jemison, Michael Redix and Turner Vaught.

The Class of 2017 was recognized and witnessed the ceremony on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 3:15 PM. Dustin Fessler, Co-Chair of the program, said, “This was one of the most memorable and moving experiences that they have had”.

The Fort Bend Leadership Forum is a rigorous program of leadership development and community engagement through active learning, expert insight, and experiential activities.  As the premier leadership development program in the region, the program was designed to prepare for the community needs that demand the involvement of informed citizens. Fort Bend Leadership Forum offers structured learning opportunities in an atmosphere that stimulates creative thinking and encourages participants to work together to utilize both new and proven tools to meet the challenges of today and to prepare for tomorrow.
