The class participants are selected each year from a wide spectrum of the area’s population. The Fort Bend Leadership Forum is a ten-month program, August through May starting off with a one and a half day opening retreat in San Antonio. The opening retreat is followed by monthly one-day sessions covering criminal justice, diversity, economic development/infrastructure, health and social services, municipal/county government, and a two-day trip to Austin for the state government session. The class will also travel to Washington D.C. to participate in a three-day national government session. The Leadership program is completed with a one and a half day ending retreat and graduation ceremony in Galveston.

The Fort Bend Leadership Forum under the direction of Division Co-Chairs Dustin Fessler and Barkley Peschel celebrates its tradition of providing the region’s premier leadership development program.

The Leadership Forum Class of 2018’s Opening Retreat was facilitated by Brooke Pankey of HCSS,  Jason Scholtz of Colliers International, and Kristina Shackelford of Community Impact Newspaper and supported and sponsored by PrimeWay Federal Credit Union, HCSS, Federal Maintenance Services, Inc., HR in Alignment, LLC, Sterling McCall Lexus, Associated Testing Laboratories, Inc., and Colliers International. For more information on the program and sponsorship opportunities contact Matthew Ferraro at matthew@fortbendcc.org or 281-491-0277.
